I watched a Phantoms commercial being filmed

We waited in the Kixx locker room.

Gradually, more fans began to arrive.

There was plenty of food! Sliced hoagies and a HUGE meatball!

Today I went to the Spectrum to watch them film a commercial for the Phantoms. All the fans who were in the ad got to wait in the locker room belonging to the Kixx (our local soccer team. I wish we could've waited in the Phantoms' room! Anyway, watching the ad be filmed was really cool. Maybe next time I'll be IN the commercial instead of just watching it!

I've been to plenty of Phantoms games, and seen Neil Little play in person lots of times. But this was the first time I ever met him face-to-face! Boy, was that fun!

The German Summerfest that wasn't

I was all set to attend the German Summerfest at Penn's Landing today. Unfortunately, as you can see, that wasn't meant to be.
But I did get to watch some boats, at least. That's always fun!

At the Phillies game

And I had the perfect vantagepoint to see it, too!

I got to attend a Phillies doubleheader tonight! We lost the first game but won the second one. I also got to meet the Wolf Pack, the group of fans that cheers for our pitcher Randy Wolf at EVERY home game that he pitches. Every single one since he first came here. Now that's what I call fans! (See me in the picture? I'm above the letter W!)
Then Mother Nature sent us a treat. Veterans Stadium won't be around too much longer -- it's closing after this season -- so there won't be many more opportunities for us to enjoy a rainbow while watching an event at the Vet. I'm glad I got to see one!

Strasburg Railroad and Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania

I love trains! Today we rode on a real steam train, the Strasburg Railroad. Then we visited the Railroad Museum across the street. We got to see lots of stuff and even go into some of the train cars. Cabooses were my favorite!

We went to see the Belmont Stakes this year. It was exciting because there was a chance that Funny Cide might win the Triple Crown. It poured all day long, but I sure did have a terrific time.

I took a trip to the Deaf Expo, which was at the Philadelphia Convention Center. That was an interesting day.
